Sentinel Plus is designed to run with all its critical functions constantly monitored by a process called Watchdog which runs on the Supervisor screen. In the event that there is any problem, Watchdog produces an audible and visible alert. If there is no response to the alert within a reasonable time, all Operators are notified of the unacknowledged Watchdog alert. Watchdog monitors all alarm signalling, report creation and database conditions. A simple display provides information about the current status of all critical processes on the system.
